A smart cities approach means leveraging data and connected technology to achieve meaningful outcomes for communities, such as increasing operational efficiency, enabling information sharing, and facilitating collaboration and integration. Four winning communities will be awarded with prizes of up to $50 million, two at $10 million and $5 million to help implement their proposals.
